Approval for Transfer Work
Students already enrolled at TCU who wish to complete work at another accredited institution should discuss their plans with their academic advisors. Current students should obtain an Academic Action Form from the dean of their college or school or from their pre-major advisor. The Academic Action Form summarizes the nature of the intended work. The dean will accept or reject the plan submitted. If approved, the student must complete the work as described at a "C" level or better and have an official transcript forwarded to the Office of the Registrar at TCU to receive credit. Transfer work does NOT affect the TCU cumulative grade point average (GPA) or count toward repeat options. Entering Students Students entering TCU from another institution should have all previously attended institutions forward complete, official transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Admissions will assess all previous work and accept or reject it for credit at TCU. Coursework will also be evaluated for its application to the University Curriculum Requirements (UCR) and will be forwarded to the department of the intended major for application to a degree from TCU. Transcripts should be forwarded as early as possible during the admission process to facilitate the evaluation process. For more information
